In Gillstrom Literacy we have been parodying a poem by Kendrick Smithyham.
We wrote the direction to get to Fairfield intermediate in Hamilton
This is mine
out on sh1 for Rotorua
left at Kaikoura on inland drive
to Hanmer
through Napier on sh7
turn left at Taupo and follow sh30
to Palmerston north
have lunch here at Maccas
turn right beyond wellington
near Blenheim to meet sh30
right again to sh2
there left at new world
allow time to see BP and F45 and Prestons dairy
where swamp (so Brooke says ) and ESP
Prestons dairy (if open)
(have tea at there or at Maccas - get the Mcflurry )
carry on 11 te korari st to marshland down sh1
to turn off 11 te korari st
through Christchurch

Wow! This sounds like an adventure. I'm sure if I would get to Fairfield following these directions. Do you think you are missing any steps? I would read through them again and check

ReplyDeleteI just re read my explanation and I realise it does not make sense.
We got this sheet and we had to write random destination on it and then on this big poster that made us scramble them up. I know it does not make sense and I am not quite sure why we did it. Also it is supposed ti be from fairfeild to marshland
