To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.

A great idea that is well structured McKenna. Make sure you focus on making each of your characters (your protagonist, the friend she meets, and the headmistress) each feel different. A strong back story to each character will help with this. Maybe try associating each character with someone else you know in real life to pull traits from.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest re-organising some of your ideas on another graph (I can help you with this), just so we can more clearly see where the rising action and climax is. As it looks on that graph, some events such as your Climax (finding a spell that turns the headmistress in to an orphan), are listed amongst the resolution. You need to see this as the rising action and climax so you remember to write in a challenge for your characters to pass before getting the spell. It can't seem too easy otherwise we lose interest!
A Cool idea Mckenna. Can't wait to hear more!
